Scope & Objectives

ORF6RAE1

The SARSIMM project focuses on the investigation of the molecular mechanisms of the interaction between certain SARS-CoV-2 proteins and proteins of the target cells leading to innate immunity modulation. The project is interdisciplinary in its very nature, requiring experience and expertise in molecular biology, physics, (bio)-chemistry, mathematics, biomo-delling and high-performance computing. The adopted research strategies clearly demonstrate the complementarity of the analytical, computational and experimental approaches and their integrity in the context of the project objectives.

The Workshop will focus on a systematic overview, analysis and interpretation of the so far obtained results and their proper dissemination at the forthcoming summer conferences and in further journal publications. It will also detail the work programme for the project extension as well as an ouline of the future investigations on related topics. The status of the papers in preparation will be discussed, aiming at finalising the respective drafts.

The work will be organised in four topical sessions, devoted to the completed, ongoing and schedules research on ORF6, NSP13, and IL-6, respectively. A special session will be devoted to the detailed extension programme.

Three types of talks are planned: 45, 35 and 30 minutes respectively, including time for discussions. No poster session is foreseen.
