Announcement

The 11th International Conference on Large-Scale Scientific Computations (LSSC'17)
is organized by the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and Sozopol municipality.

Time

The conference is scheduled for June 5-9, 2017, with arrival: June 4 and departure: noon June 9.

Place

The conference will be held at the Bulgarian Red Cross Educational Center (1 Cherno More street) in Sozopol (map of Sozopol), a picturesque town on the Black Sea coast, 36 km to the south from Bourgas (the nearest international airport).

The deadline for applications to organize a special session is September 30, 2016. A short abstract is required with some preliminary information about the expected participants.

Proceedings

A special volume of refereed and presented papers will be published as a post-proceedings in the Springer Series Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).

Abstracts and papers

The abstracts and papers are to be sent to: scicom17@parallel.bas.bg. Please indicate the special session (if this is the case) and send a copy to the session organizer.

The abstracts (up to 1 page stating clearly the originality of the results) are to be written in standard LaTeX using the provided template. It is assumed that one participant will present not more than one talk.

The length of the papers is limited up to 8 pages. It is highly recommended to prepare the source files for the papers in LaTeX2e using the Springer class file llncs.cls (llncs.dem is a sample input file which you may take as a source for your own input and you can prepare the references as Springer requests).

Conference fee

The conference fee covers: the booklet of abstracts, conference materials, the publication of conference proceedings, the coffee breaks, the conference reception, the official dinner and excursion.

The fee for accompanying person is 120 EURO.

Bank account

Please indicate: for LSSC'17 and your name.

The registration fee should be received at the Conference bank account free of bank transfer charges.

The late Conference fee is also payable at the registration desk cash (in EURO).

Accommodation

There is a limited number of rooms, reserved for the participants at the location where the conference will take place. The total price for 5 nights lodging (check-in on June 4 and check-out on June 9) and meals (beginning with a dinner on June 4 and ending with a lunch on June 9) is:

320 EURO for a single room;

250 EURO for a bed in double room.

The Accommodation Fees are payable at the Registration Desk in EURO (cash).

The participants may also contact their travel agencies as an alternative variant for arrangement of accommodation in Sozopol. Some of the travel agencies provide very attractive packages including air ticket plus hotel reservation. Two bigger hotels near the conference place are Villa List and Selena.

Transportation

If there are enough conference participants travelling to Sofia, we will arrange a special bus from Sofia to Sozopol and return as follows:

Sofia-Sozopol: 15:00, June 4, Hotel of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (it was known before as hotel "Kedar") Sozopol-Sofia: June 9 (after the lunch from the conference place) The bus trip takes about 6 hours.

Another attractive way to organize your travel is to use a direct regular or charter flight to Burgas airport.

If you inform us in advance about the precise arrival time on June 4, at Bourgas Airport or at Burgas Railway/Buss Station, we will provide (free of additional charge) a special transportation to the conference place in Sozopol.
