Information and Communication Technologies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and
MIV Consult Ltd. in cooperation with Bulgarian Section of SIAM (BG SIAM) and
the Center of Excellence in Informatics and Information and Communication
Technologies (CoE in Informatics and ICT).

Place
The NSFDE&A’22 will be held in Sozopol
(ancient Apolonia), a picturesque town on the Black Sea coast,
The workshop will be organized as a hybrid event: a) presence at the
conference venue in Sozopol; and b) online through the free (for the
participants) software platform Zoom.
Aims
The workshop follows the great
success of the first workshop NSFDE&A’20
(http://parallel.bas.bg/Conferences/NSFDE&A_2020-Sozopol.pdf), and the
Special Sessions “Fractional Diffusion Problems: Numerical Methods, Algorithms
and Applications” organized within the scientific program of the 12th
and 13th LSSC Conferences
(http://parallel.bas.bg/Conferences/SciCom21/).
The workshop is aimed to continue the new chain of NSFDE&A events to
be organized biannually, every even year, complementary to the well-established
LSSC conferences every odd year.
Scope
Specific topics of interest (but not limited to) are the following: (i)
fractional in space diffusion problems; (ii) fractional in time diffusion
problems; (iii) models of phenomena with memory; (iv) optimal control involving
fractional diffusion; (v) analytical and semi-analytical solution
methods; (vi) multigrid solvers; (vii) coupled problems; (viii) phase
separation and image segmentation; (ix) parallel algorithms and HPC
and big data tools; (x) applications
in science and engineering.
The Scientific Program of NSDDE&A’22 includes regular talks of 30 min. and key-note talks of 45 min. The Program is available here.
Extended Abstracts/Short
Communications
The extended abstracts/short communications (up to 3 pages) are to be
written in standard LaTeX.

Workshop Fee
The workshop fee covers: the
proceedings of extended abstracts/short communications, the workshop materials,
the coffee breaks, the welcome reception, and the conference dinner.

The registration
is supposed to be received free of bank transfer charges. The late workshop fee
is also payable at the registration desk cash in EURO or in BGN, 1 EUR = 1.9558
BGN.

There is a

Transportation
An attractive
way to organize your travel is to use a direct regular or charter flight to
Burgas airport. There is a regular bus line 15 from Burgas airport to the bus
station south, a starting point for the regular buses to Sozopol. Alternative
way to the public bus is to rent a car or use a taxi from the Burgas airport.
Social Program
The social
events will include a welcome reception on Monday (June 6) and a conference
dinner on Wednesday (June 8).
